Anushka, in a recent interview with the Filmfare, shared about what her relationship looks like with Virat behind closed doors. She called it emotional and heart-melting and felt proud to tie the knot with her bestie. In her words:
“I’m married to my best friend. I’m married to my confidant. I’m married to someone I love so dearly just because of the human being that he is. When we’re together, the world ceases to exist.”

Anushka, going ahead in the interview, shared that Virat has a humble personality in real life, which may surely surprise his fans. The actress cleared the misconception surrounding her husband and shared that he may look aggressive on the field, but in reality, he is peaceful and calm. The actress also shared how, when they initially got married, they spent very little time together. In her words:
“During the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 or 22 days together… We were hardly together in Mumbai. In fact, the staff at home gets so happy whenever they see us together at home.”
Anushka and Virat reportedly peacefully reside in London, where they enjoy a serene life and both of them are away from the glam and showsha. It was in 2024 when they changed their base from India; however, for all the work commitments, they keep visiting the country.

Anushka and Virat met for the first time in 2013 when they were shooting for a TV commercial. Both of them fell in love with each other but kept their relationship under wraps for the longest time. The power couple got married in a private ceremony back in December 2017. Their wedding took place in Italy and was attended by their family and close friends. The pair are parents to two cute kids- Vamika, who was born in January 2021 and Akaay who was born in 2024. The pair manages their work commitments between London and Mumbai. Virat, for the time being, is giving his best in the IPL 2025 and is a part of the team, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Anushka, a dutiful wife, always understands the work commitments of her husband, just like him, and both of them balance it out together.
