20th Century Studios has officially released the first teaser trailer and poster for Predator: Badlands, the latest installment in the long-running Predator franchise. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who previously helmed 2022’s critically acclaimed Prey, the film will be released exclusively in theaters on November 7, 2025. It will be available in premium formats including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, Cinemark XD, 4DX, and ScreenX.

Predator: Badlands brings a fresh narrative twist to the franchise. Set in the distant future on a remote planet, the film follows a young Predator, played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, who has been cast out by his clan. In a surprising turn of events, he forms an alliance with Thia, a human survivor portrayed by Elle Fanning. Together, they set out on a dangerous quest across unfamiliar terrain in search of the ultimate adversary.

This latest entry continues the franchise’s tradition of combining sci-fi elements with action and survival themes, while also introducing new emotional layers through its central characters. The setting—a mysterious and hostile alien world—further expands the universe of Predator, moving away from Earth and opening up new possibilities for future storytelling.

 

Dan Trachtenberg, who reinvigorated the franchise with Prey, brings his vision once again to Predator: Badlands, aiming to build on the critical and commercial momentum of its predecessor. The film is produced by John Davis, Dan Trachtenberg, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, and Brent O’Connor.

While the teaser trailer offers only a glimpse into the film’s atmospheric visuals and high-stakes narrative, it has already generated strong buzz among fans of the franchise and sci-fi enthusiasts alike.
